Story Retreat

The main goal for this retreat is for everyone in the group to open up and reveal to everyone else where they’ve come from and where they are now, from a spiritual perspective. If you modeled transparency when you told your story, you made it safe for them to be transparent as well.

There are three potential scenarios we recommend for Story Retreats . . .

Full Weekend
Some groups will be able to get a full weekend away . . . Friday until Sunday. This is preferred.

Overnight
Som e groups can only manage an overnight . . . a Friday night/all day Saturday retreat.

Story Sunday
Some groups choose to do this in one day. In that case, we suggest a so-called Story Sunday.

One-on-One Mentee Meeting Tips

After their Story Retreat, mentors can begin to schedule one-on-ones with their mentees. These are critical times for the mentor to dig deeper and get to know a little more about each person individually. Ideally, mentors will knock out all their one-on-ones in the first three months of the group.
